About

SHARON has been clean and sober for 29 years through 12-step fellowships. Her experience includes many programs–NA, CA, ACoA, Al-Anon, SLAA, EDA, and OA—which help her assist clients in the challenge of not only getting sober but continuing to pursue sobriety in all areas of life. She has 17 years of recovery from an eating disorder that really took off once she put the drink down, and had to learn how to stave off an intense sense of loneliness by developing other tools and doing without the help of her best friends, Little Debbie, Dolly Madison, and Ben & Jerry. She has experienced life-long depression and works to manage that with medication and therapy, a gift of experience she brings to clients struggling with mental health. Over the years, she has helped bring meetings into detoxes, treatment centers, and jails, but also know that the 12-step model is not for everyone and that there are other options that can work for long-term recovery, many of which she is familiar. When she is not working as a recovery coach, she is an English professor and a freelance writer. She has been published in many magazines and journals. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Bennington College. She brings great skills of home organization, a passion for sports as well as great support for all artists and creatives. CARC certified and trained in Trauma-Informed Care.
